Providing funding for to support additional educational opportunities to students and staff of the Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District through scholarships for post-secondary education and grants to enhance PK-12 instruction by disbursing funds that are raised and donated for such purposes.

Ami Burns is the outreach manager at Vermeer Corporation, a global industrial and agricultural equipment manufacturer headquartered in Pella, Iowa. She has worked in various roles in Human Resources and recently celebrated 22 years at Vermeer. Her current role allows her to educate and prepare young people for careers in STE(A)M and manufacturing. She coordinates various events welcoming students and educators to Vermeer to create awareness of the many career opportunities in manufacturing and in Iowa. Ami lives in Monroe with her husband and three children.
