Become a RED Partner

  • Do you like to help others?

  • Do you want to make a difference in the lives of DCG graduates?

  • Do you want to leave a legacy to be remembered by future generations?

1) RED Scholarship Donor

The DCGEF works closely with the school district to help with scholarships and also operates as the fiscal agent of the scholarship funds. As a RED Scholarship Sponsor, you have many options, such as determining the purpose, customizing scholarship criteria and question as well as selecting the scholarship recipient(s) from all application submissions. You and/or your family can be involved in the process as much or as little as you desire. A member of our committee would be happy to meet with you in person, via phone, or email to discuss the opportunities.

2) Estate Planning

The DCGEF was established in 2014 by a group of visionary community members who saw the power in creating a foundation in which to receive charitable gifts and raise funds to support the education of our district’s students and growing population. This foundation was blessed to have existing funds donated by the Burnett family, which provided a strong financial foundation. Please consider making the DCGEF a component of your estate plan and join those original visionaries. In addition to potential tax benefits, you have the ability to leave a legacy that will be remembered for future generations.

What to Give (ideas of elements to include in your estate plan)

The following is a list of elements you may wish to include in your estate plan.

Cash is a simple and direct way for you to make a gift. This can be directed for general use or specified for scholarships or education grants.

Donating appreciated securities, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to our foundation.

Donating appreciated real estate, such as a home, vacation property, undeveloped land, farmland, ranch or commercial property can make a great gift to our foundation.

Donating part or all of your unused retirement assets such as those from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension or other tax-deferred plan is an excellent way to make a gift.

A gift of your life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a gift to charity. If you
have a life insurance policy that has outlasted its original purpose, consider making this gift donation. For example, you may have purchased a policy to provide for minor children and they are now financially independent adults.
